Not only is this stone very rare, but it is also very old, dating back to the stone age. The energy of this gem is as strong as the river it's named after, and as powerful as the warrior women with whom it’s connected. It is believed to soothe violence, repress irrationality, and quiet restlessness.
WHAT IS AMAZONITE? This beautiful blue-green tectosilicate mineral, a variety of potassium feldspar called microcline. People think Amazonite is from the Amazon River because of its name, and even though it was named after the river, it comes from other areas around Brazil. Amazonite can be colorless, bluish-green, white, yellow, pink, red, or gray but it’s usually an aqua blue with green. The color is caused by lead within the stone.
