HOW IS IT FORMED? Aquatic Agate, also known as Blue Lace Agate, forms through deposition as silica-rich fluids infiltrate volcanic rock cavities. Over time, these fluids deposit layers of silica, resulting in the distinctive blue and white banding. While most specimens display a soft blue color with delicate white banding, variations can occur, including a soft beige or off-white hue. These color variations enhance the stone's unique beauty. When exhibiting blue tones, it is commonly referred to as Blue Lace Agate.
WHERE IT'S FOUND?Ā Brazil, Namibia, and South Africa are known to be primary sources of Aquatic Agate, also known as Blue Lace Agate.
